Tour de Ski 2022/2023 starts on New Year’s Eve. The Swedish Team is now presented for the multi-stage event in Switzerland, Germany, and Italy from December 31 to January 8.

Now in its 17th edition, Tour de Ski consists of seven competitions over nine days in three different countries, and it’s the fifth round of the 2022/2023 FIS World Cup. 

In a press release, the Swedish Ski Association named their cross-country ski team for Tour de Ski. Sweden will start with 14 athletes. On the women’s side, Sweden will begin with seven skiers. Already on the men’s side, also seven athletes will start for the Scandinavian country. 

“We are traveling with an exciting team of seven women and seven men. The quotas are based on a basic quota of six places, but those among the top 20 in the sprint cup have a personal free place in the Tour de Ski, and then we get the opportunity for a few extra places,” says the National Team manager Anders Byström.

On the list is Frida Karlsson, who, according to the press release, is hungry for a Tour de Ski revenge, and Calle Halfvarsson, who is ready for competition after a short break. Johan Häggström and Ida Dahl are also back on the World Cup stage after fine performances in Davos. Below you can check the complete list of athletes for the Tour de Ski.
