Johannes Høsflot Klæbo won the skate sprint in Lenzerheide, the first stage in Tour de Ski 2021/22, by a huge margin.

Norway’s Johannes Høsflot Klæbo won his quarterfinal, then his semifinal, and was unbeatable in the final. The 25-year-old surged toward the finish line and won by a handsome margin to his French rivals Richard Jouve and Lucas Chanavat.

“It was an amazing day, and it was really fun to race. The wax techs did a really good job with the skis. And for sure, it was really good to start Tour de Ski in this way,” Klæbo said after the final.

Klæbo also posted the fastest qualifier time, with Jouve in second place and Chavanat in third place.
