Canada’s Team to the 2022 Olympics consists of nine young and promising cross-country skiers: Five women and four men. At 29, Olivia Bouffard-Nesbitt is the veteran of the 2022 Canadian cross-country team. 

Originally, Canada had a quota of seven skiers to the 2022 Beijing Winter Games, but on January 21, the team received two additional spots. The Canadian Ski Association then named Olivia Bouffard-Nesbitt and Remi Drolet to the cross-country team.

These cross-country skiers are racing for Canada at the 2022 Olympics:

The 2022 Olympics take place in Beijing from February 4 to 20. Last week, the International Olympic Committee and the Beijing Organizing Committee announced that the 2022 Olympics will not be postponed or cancelled. 

Canadian cross-country skiing has a proud history from the 2000s, both at the Olympics and the World Championships: At the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City, Beckie Scott took home the gold medal in the 5km/5km pursuit. At the 2006 Olympics in Turin, she earned the silver medal in the team sprint. Additionally, Scott posted several top-10 finishes at the World Championships. 

Alex Harvey has five World Championship medals including two gold on his resume, as well as several top-10 finishes from the three Olympic Winter Games he attended before retiring after the 2018 Olympics in PyeongChang. 

Devon Kershaw, like Harvey, posted several top-10 finishes at the three Olympic Winter Games he attended before retiring in 2019. Kershaw also helped secure Canada’s first World Championship gold medal, teaming up with Harvey at the 2011 World Championships team sprint.
