Novak and Johansson Norgren Keep The Lead In Visma Ski Classics

by Leandro Lutz • 17.01.2022
La Venosta Time Trial marked the 100th Visma Ski Classics event and first-ever Pro Tour individual time trial. These are the bib-holders in various overall competitions after the new format event in Italy.

On Saturday, Britta Johansson Norgren, Lager 157 Ski Team, and Tord Asle Gjerdalen, Team XPND Fuel, won La Venosta Time Trial that started in Kapron and finished at almost 2000 meters above sea level at Melago Alm.

When we look at the Visma Ski Classics general classification after this weekend, the yellow Champion Bib Competition still belongs to Britta Johansson Norgren, Lager 157 Ski Team, and Max Novak Team Ramudden.

Johansson Norgren also carries the green bib of the women’s Sprint Competition. Stian Berg, Team Kaffebryggeriet, wears the green bib in the men’s Sprint Competition, as we had no Sprint Points at La Venosta Time Trial.

The pink bibs in the Youth Competition are still resting on the shoulders of Ida Dahl and Max Novak, both from Team Ramudden.

After this Saturday’s uphill event, the Lumberjack bib changed hands. Ida Dahl, Team Ramudden, and Tord Asle Gjerdalen, Team XPND Fuel, are carrying the bib in the Climbing Competition.

Team Ramudden leads the Pro Team Competition with 920 points, followed by Lager 157 Ski Team in second with 860 points and Russian Winter Team in third, with 720 points.

Lina Korsgren, Team Ramudden, is leading the SC Ranking. In the second place, another Swedish Pro Tour skier, Emil Persson, Lager 157 Ski Team, followed by Norwegian’s Tord Asle Gjerdalen, Team XPND Fuel.

Next up in the Visma Ski Classics is Engadin La Diagonela. The 55-kilometer classic long-distance race takes place in Switzerland on January 22, 2022.
