Last winter, Team Ramudden took second place in the Ski Classics Pro Team competition and has now announced that the French skier Thomas Joly is joining their ranks.

For Season XV, Thomas Joly was recruited by Team Naeringsbanken Stora Enso after a few seasons with the French squad Team Nordic Expérience. He had a solid summer with the Norwegian Pro Team, winning Alliansloppet and finishing 2nd at Blink Festival and Toppidrettsveka. Last winter, his best result was 12th place in the 3 Zinnen Ski Marathon.

Joly finished Season XV in 55th place overall at the Champion competition after a premature end of the season due to health issues after Vasaloppet, where he finished 37th in the traditional Swedish Grand Classics. 

Following a season like this one, Joly wanted something new. He got approached by several Pro Teams and decided to sign with one of the best teams on the Pro Tour: Team Ramudden.

Joly arrives to strengthen the Pro Team after Johannes Eklöf’s departure to Ski Team Göhlins. The French skier will join some solid names in Ski Classics, such as Amund Riege, Herman Paus, and Alfred Buskqvist.

Team Ramudden is one of the best teams in Ski Classics and won the Pro Team Competition in Season XI (2020/2021) and Season XII (2021/2022). Last season, Team Ramudden finished second in the Pro Team Competition, and Emilie Fleten got all the bibs on the women’s side (except for the Youth bib, for which she is not eligible). In fact, she was on the podium in all the races and won the Champion, Sprint, and Climb competitions.

When ProXCskiing.com talked to Thomas Joly about his signing with Team Ramudden, he mentioned:

“This is the best thing that could have happened to a profile like mine.”

A strong team on the men’s side with a strong team spirit is something that many athletes could dream of.
