After an exciting start to the Visma Ski Classics Season XII and a superb win for Lager 157 Ski Team today, now it’s time for the athletes to get some rest and the wax techs prepare some fast skis because tomorrow morning there is another race.

Visma Ski Classics Season XII started today with the Orsa Grönklitt Pro Team Tempo, offering emotions and strong performances by the 35 Pro Teams present at the event.

The Visma Ski Classics Season XII starts with the Pro Team Tempo in Orsa Grönklitt, Sweden. This is a brand-new location for the kick-off. The distance of the Tempo is 9km – and they will ski fast!

Linn Sömskar had a strong start for her Winter Season at the traditional Gällivare Premiere in Sweden, with a 3rd and two 6th places. It gives her hopes for the start of Visma Ski Classics with her Team Eksjöhus.

Team Mäenpää, the Finnish long distance ski team, has a skier living in Sweden. It’s Viktor Mäenpää who has trained for eight weeks at high altitude before the Visma Ski Classics new season.

“I have invested quite a lot in high altitude training this year. We will see if it pays off,” the 26-year-old told Längd.se.
